Javier Moñivas

I am an architect and engineer with experience in all the different scales of architecture and construction, from urban planning down to construction details. 

 

I studied construction engineering in Madrid and followed on with a scholarship to finish my studies in Denmark (E.U.) at the Horsens Teknisk Skole. During all this time I combined my academic career with professional experience as a site manager in housing projects. 

 

After finishing my first degree I moved on to study architecture in Barcelona at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya. Again I mixed studying with work at GRND82 architecture studio. Being part of this office we won several competitions for multi residential and public buildings. I finished my degree at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid where I collaborated in the Research Group in Architecture, Urbanism and Sustainability of this University for three years publishing several works. I also taught courses on sustainability in new construction and rehabilitation projects.

 

Then, I developed my career in Panama for the next years. First I was doing consulting work for the Spanish Embassy in this country and collaborations for EnSitu until undertaking a long term position with ELPATIO, an architectural firm characterized by its high standard. After almost four years I joined as a founder member b27 architects, developing renovation and new construction projects in Panama and Madrid.

 

As you can guess from my education I love to understand complex processes until the last detail.I consider myself a very skillful person, creative, liable and responsible, with the ability to face any inconvenience.
